Today a fretting Mom chose inexpensive stock chairs over custom ones. I'm on board. Initially, we weighed, we looked at fabric samples upside down and sideways. We came up with upholstery options that were, well, showstopping. Then she got it. She knew. She didn't want to spend mealtime and playtime worrying about (yelling about?) keeping the (admittedly GORGEOUS) upholstery clean. She's right. We got in the car, drove to the ready-made furniture store on the corner and ponied up for six cheery red leather cuties. There's time for the 20-year chairs later. The 5-year chairs are happy, hip, and keep peace at the kitchen table. Peace is it. I love my job.

In-home consult: I visit you in your space; you tell me your story. Gentle color guidance in rooms of your choosing.
In-store consult: Best when combined with a home consult. I’ll meet you at the paint store for color shopping, at Target for housewares shopping; less stress, less time.
Pre-move double visit: Evaluating present furnishings at the old place, and recommending colors to suit at the new place. (Two hour minimum consult)

What's the difference between an ASID Interior Designer and me?
Designers are beautifully trained for comprehensive design projects. An ASID Designer can provide sketches, structural and spatial recommendations, sourcing of materials and major design decisions, including color. I can help you with color dilemmas on small projects, and although I am available at a lower cost, an ASID Designer would better serve you for a major project. I am happy to recommend a Designer if you need one.
